WANDA

How quickly life
slides from our grasp
not ours but
those we love
One call, one letter
Self absorbed
we forgot to love
To late
the hour past
The heart broken
to beat no more

DENTED FENDER

Rolled right up to my shiny car
Would she be my super star?
Burger fries chocolate shake
“UH, ride with me around the lake?”
She looked at me a bit annoyed,
“I don’t date high school boys!”

NUTURED

In my pot I sit
Waiting
Yearning for you to till my soil
Waiting patiently
nourished me
water me
smell my petals
My fragrance desires
to fill your presence
with the aroma of love
Place me on the window sill
There I bask in SON light

LADY RED

Alabaster skin
contrasted on satin
Emitting a glow of
sated desires
Your breath
softly ragged against the still night
Your hair
Beautiful, red, gently tousled
Your smile
ever knowing
How much I love you

QUENCHED

Oh! Isle of rock in an ocean of sorrow
Rescue me upon your shores
You invite the weary
Iam so
Shelter me among your trees
For warmth is what I need
Invite me to your spring
That I may drink your water
Precious nectar to a parched sole
Like a love lost then returned

Green jeans "n" lace

Captivated by your sultry smile
Hidden eyes behind bangs of red
My castle is yours,
Knights Honor *
Feather bed and warmth,
Knights Honor *
Slay your demons and dragons
Protecting virtue,
Knights Honor *
Sweet damsel
Return to me
My future queen

Today marks my 15th wedding anniversary. Green jeans "n" lace, although not my best of works, does depict the night I met my soulmate. A lonely Fire Captain was being released from a wildland incident, only to look forward to a very empty house. My children, unable to stay by themselves had cut our weekend short and returned to their mother. Dispondent and defeated I was to return to my tiny state owned residence (in the middle of nowhere) when God shined his face upon me. A beautiful 911 dispatcher had been assigned to the same incident and we met in one of many command trailers. One look and she had me.  A zillion cups of very bad coffee later, I offered her a hot shower and rather than sleeping on the ground in fire camp, the kids bedroom (KNIGHT'S HONOR!).  Although she returned to the central valley after our brief innocent encounter, I could not forget that redheaded damsel. I was spun! A long distance romance ensued and one year later we joined our families. She likes to say I gave her a classic truck, trick dog and a Harley, but I am sure I got the better deal; HER and a 10 year old son. I am TRULY BLESSED!

My lips burn
From today’s goodbye
Patiently waiting
For tonight’s return

Desperate Cloud

Why can’t I
STOP
Reading between the lines
Why do I
SWALLOW
This poison tablet
There is no proof
BELIEVE
You fool

BROKEN

I know she knows
And feels as I do
LOVE !
Fantastic truths
gloomed reality
ENOUGH !
Hope to forget
Get on with our life
PLEADING !
Aching, hating
Cleanse my heart O’LORD
FORGIVE

Healing

My wounds
my heart
the pain runs so deep.
 flooding emotion
Not me
Lord, where is my strength ?
He answers
 forget
I choose to grovel

Don’t Stop

Her smile and laughter
pushes me to pursue
her pleasure.
My desire
to love her again
and again.

NIBBLE

Gentle kisses
Her long slender neck
Warm hot breath
burns her ears.
Does she know I breathe for her?

My Minds Eye

Visions of you.
Smiles,
Laughter in her eyes.
Visions of you next to me,
only me.
Visions of you,
in my minds eye.
Thanks for making me smile and laugh,
content in us.
Here’s looking at you kid.

Shhhhhh!

Soundly she slumbers
Snoring gently
Her breath exchanges
Dreams for reality.
Does she dream of me?

LOST

Trust in myself
Lost forever
Unable to be placed
Bulling I search
Jealosy, unreason
Wracking my bones
I so long for yesterday

HEAVENLY SCENT

Gently
The fragrance of grapes
escapes from her lips
Her breath quickens
as my fingers dance
on her shoulders
massaging, kneading
as I need her

DISCOVERED

Dirty little man,
stealth in the night
waiting till wee hours
to wreck your havoc
Innocent lass
peaked at through windows
pulled from her safety
her home, her love
However fleeting
never yours
You stole from her
from me
Your kneecaps are fragile
