I closed my eyes

Silently reaching
the dark of the night
finding, clutching, holding
lips brushing lips
caressing, caressed
perfume permeates my senses.
Awakened, alone
Was she ever here?
The pillow wrinkled
She’s gone, but where?
The dark of the night

    oh, all the elements but the one with a heartbeat...maybe she just went to the fridge to get a drink...hopefully...smiles.
