Ruins my fence
and the side of my car,
who in the hell
do you think you are?
Colors from spray paint
bright and bold,
get out of my yard
miserable ass hole.
I know this sounds ugly
but so is your work
put it on canvas
You selfish jerk.
You see beauty
I see pollution
Let’s meet in the middle
find a solution
Walls that rotate
for new pictures worth
10’ x 10’ in maximum girth
You need an outlet I need some order
I don’t want my town
looking south of the border
Can we form a district?
A place for your work
near accepting people
with colorful quirks
My world is not bland
nor close to hideous
It’s actually beautiful
Although fastidious
Nice flow to your rant. Strong lines.
ReplyDeleteStrong... powerfully stated. Yet still it happens anyway.
ReplyDeleteGreat rant Ned! Well yelled in the flow of words
ReplyDeleteSeems like you've had a nasty experience, I could feel the angst and emotion in this work, great work.
ReplyDeleteVoice-effective, striking work.
ReplyDeleteYou seem to be angry upon some incident, like this. Btw, I liked the flow.
ReplyDeleteok - i hate when the paint on new renovated houses or cars or fences...and you expressed your anger well...probably not the best sprayers who do such things...but i love when they color bridges and hopelessly grey concrete with their cries..
ReplyDeletePretty much sums up my own feelings about graffiti.
ReplyDeleteI love to see poetry bring out the full spectrum of energy and perspective. The flow and structure to this piece was a great tempo and pace! Really enjoyed this write ~ Rose
ReplyDeleteWith all the trains we have around here, the graffiti on all the box cars makes for quite a travelling art show when we're stopped at the gates. Makes my kids and I wonder about the artists, the when and where of it all. You spoke your mind so well.
